Setting Preferences

Use GOM Remote

Mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets can be used to control GOM Audio installed on the PC.

1. Program and Application Installation

To use GOM Remote, GOM Remote related programs must first be installed on the PC and mobile device.

  • GOM Remote Program for PC

    If there is no GOM Remote Program for PC installed, click the GOM Remote () icon in the main screen to download. After downloading the program, install the program following the GOM Remote installation wizard.

  • GOM Remote Application for Mobile

    Search for and install GOM Remote from the Play Store (Android OS) or the App Store (iOS).
    The GOM Remote icon () is shown on the screen of the mobile device after installation is complete.

2. GOM Remote Connection

The PC and the mobile device must be connected to use GOM Remote.

  • 1. Launch the GOM Remote application on the mobile device.
  • 2. When the device connection screen appears, touch the New Connection button.
  • 3. After confirming GOM Remote installation on the PC, touch the Yes button.
  • 4. Launch GOM Player Plus on the PC.
  • 5. Click the GOM Remote () icon in the top bar area of GOM Player Plus.
  • 6. When the GOM Remote window appears, click the Issue Security Key button on the Issue Security Key tab.
  • 7. After entering the Issue Security Key screen issued security key into the security key entry field of the mobile device, touch the Confirm button.
  • 8. After the verification number appears on the Issue Security Key screen, enter it into the verification number entry field of the mobile device and touch the Confirm button.
  • 9. Check if the PC and mobile device are properly connected.

3. GOM Remote Usage

PCs can be used to control GOM Player Plus using the GOM Remote application..

  • ① Program Launch/Exit

    Can launch or exit GOM Player Plus.

  • ② Preferences

    Can control the PC power or set the preferences for the GOM Remote application and view the GOM Remote usage methods.

  • ③ Hide Menu

    Can show or hide the menu on top of the screen.

  • ④ Open File

    Can play the video file saved on the PC.

  • ⑤ Remote Controller

    Can view and use the frequently used features for playback in the form of a remote controller.

  • ⑥ Playlist

    Can view the current playlist.

  • ⑥ Snapshot

    Can capture and save the video currently being played.

  • ⑥ Mouse

    Can directly control the mouse cursor using the touch screen of the mobile device.

  • ⑦ Playback Control Area

    Can control playback, pause/stop, sound volume, repeated playback, etc.
